Part 1 · The Climb

We climb because they climbed.

110 flights of stairs — the height of the Twin Towers — in honor of the 411 first responders who gave their lives on 9/11.

A Memorial, Not a Race

For first responders and civilians alike.

The tragedies of 9/11 are something we will never forget as a nation. 411 first responders died that day trying to save those who could not save themselves.

The Tall City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is how Midland honors them and makes certain we never forget. The ultimate sacrifice was made by fire, police and EMS personnel — and we climb because they climbed.

Nobody is counting. If you can't finish all 110 flights, come and do what you can. You're only accountable to yourself at your own fitness level.
